We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our client in Ripley, Derby. You will play a vital role in manufacturing bespoke precision components and contributing to high-quality engineering projects across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Mark out, cut material and prepare welds
- Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotines, press brakes, rollers, and grinders
- Work to tight tolerances and specific measurements
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in plating within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Skilled in MIG welding would be a bonus
