Location: Severn Beach, Bristol (BS35)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:45pm (40 hours)

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Pay: £13.37 per hour, paid weekly

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy operations team in Severnside, Bristol. This is a practical, hands-on role supporting the safe dismantling, sorting and processing of telecom equipment for reuse, recycling and responsible disposal. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys manual work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to develop wider skills in equipment handling, material recovery and deinstallation support.

Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Operative:

  • Safely dismantling telecom equipment using approved methods and basic hand tools
  • Sorting materials into correct recycling and waste streams (metals, plastics, PCBs, batteries)
  • Identifying components suitable for reuse, recycling or disposal
  • Handling hazardous or sensitive items, including lithium-ion batteries, following company procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and hazard-free workstation
  • Labelling materials and recycling bins clearly and consistently
  • Following all PPE, manual handling and health & safety requirements
  • Supporting deinstallation teams when required, including occasional travel to customer sites

Skills & Experience of a Warehouse Operative

  • Experience in recycling, warehouse, production or similar environments (desirable)
  • Confident using basic hand tools safely
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Awareness of health & safety in a hands-on operational setting
  • Ability to carry out repetitive manual tasks safely and efficiently
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
  • Basic IT skills beneficial
