GI Group are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers on a Temp to Perm basis.
Driver's shifts
We are looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers to work afternoon/evening start times on an ad-hoc basis.
- (Apply online only) start times
- Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday
- Ad-Hoc weekend work available (Friday, Saturday & Monday)
- Average 9-hour shift
HGV Class 2 Drivers pay & benefits
- All hours are paid at 19.74 per hour
- These pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay
HGV Class 2 Driver main duties
- Conducting vehicle checks
- 4-8 deliveries per shift
- Heavy manual handling
- Delivering raw, prepared and ready to heat meals to restaurants, pubs, hotels & kitchens
- Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met
HGV Class 2 Driver requirements
- A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude
- No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
- Hold a valid, in-date tachograph & CPC
- Aged 25+ for insurance purposes
- Have good customer service skills
- Previous experience using a sack barrow or pallet truck is preferred
- Must have at least 6 months multi-drop experience
