GI Group UK is seeking a professional Class 2 Delivery Driver for a permanent role, to support a well-established, independent local Plant hire and contracting business serving trade and domestic customers across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload vehicle safely and securely
  • Deliver and collect equipment on multi-stop routes
  • Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects
  • Maintain professional customer communication on site
  • Assist with depot tasks and attend training as required

Requirements:

  • Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, CPC and tachograph card
  • At least 2 years Class 2 driving experience
  • Experience with strapping on heavy loads
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic fault awareness
  • Physically fit for manual handling
  • Clear communication and good local area knowledge
  • Flexible with overtime and depot duties; team player who can work on own initiative

Salary: £37,440 per annum based on average 45hrs a week. Overtime paid at: 1.5x after 45 hrs – i.e., 50 hrs pw would = £43,680 pa.
