We're recruiting a proactive and enthusiastic Configuration Management Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation, based in Yeovil. You'll work with SAP 500 to progress and agree modifications, interfacing with stakeholders across multiple business functions to ensure configuration management processes are effectively implemented. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate configuration data from initial requirements and design through to operational implementation, ensuring the integrity of the product design is preserved.
Location: Yeovil (on-site)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of configuration management outputs, including configuration management plans and related documentation
- Manage and monitor change requests and change collectors, ensuring timely progression from initiation to operational implementation
- Produce and deliver Configuration Management reports and management information (status reports, KPIs, trackers) to an agreed schedule
- Act as the configuration management point of contact in internal and external customer meetings
- Provide technical configuration support to functional areas to control the modification state of products and support equipment
About You - Skills & Experience
- Knowledge and/or experience of configuration management principles and processes
- Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communication skills (verbal, written, electronic)
- High attention to detail and quality
- Strong IT literacy, particularly Excel and ideally Power BI
