The Role
A senior position where you'll shape the entire site's HSE direction. You'll be the competent person for the site, leading through influence, credibility and strong relationships, not hierarchy. Your impact will be felt from the shop floor to the leadership table.
What You'll Lead
- Health & Safety Strategy: Build and deliver the site's H&S strategy. Strengthen behavioural safety and embed a proactive safety culture. Influence leaders at every level and act as the primary regulatory contact.
- Visible Leadership & Coaching: Be consistently present on the shop floor. Coach leaders and teams through real time conversations and behavioural observations. Shift mindsets through engagement, not enforcement.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance: Own the site's safety management systems. Lead audits, investigations and root cause analysis. Ensure risk assessments are practical, embedded and regularly reviewed. Oversee occupational health arrangements.
- Environmental Strategy & Improvement: Lead the Environmental Management System. Deliver the site's environmental strategy and sustainability goals. Drive reductions in utilities, waste and energy use. Ensure full environmental compliance and reporting.
