Maintenance Team Leader – Rotating Day & Night Shift Location: Redditch Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (including shift allowance) Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (12‑hour shifts) A leading tier‑one automotive manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to support its expanding maintenance function. As the business continues to invest in new machinery and scale up its engineering capabilities, this role will play a vital part in ensuring site reliability and optimal production performance. Role Overview: As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will manage and support a team of multi‑skilled maintenance engineers across a rotating day and night shift pattern. This hands‑on leadership role requires strong technical expertise, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across mechanical and electrical functions. Ensure completion of planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency. Provide advanced fault‑finding support and technical guidance during breakdowns. Assist with installation, commissioning, and integration of new machinery and equipment. Drive best‑practice maintenance standards, promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all shifts. Candidate Profile: Proven background in maintenance leadership within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. Strong technical expertise across mechanical and electrical systems. Good working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens experience advantageous). Confident leader with the ability to motivate teams across both day and night shifts.
