Quality Inspector in Halesfield Hours Monday - Friday 10pm - 6am Pay £12.71 + £50 per weeks shift allowance ( bringing the pay to £13.96) Paid Break + Lunch provided Primary Function: Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the QC Technician ensures they supply and provide quality products to the correct specifications to all internal and external Customers whilst working within the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management systems in place on site. Duties and Responsibilities: They follow the QC procedures in order to meet the product specifications which includes specific tests to be performed at specific time durations. They ensure that all Laboratory equipment is maintained in a good clean working state whilst ensuring that all housekeeping rules are respected in the Laboratory area. They follow all the health and safety practices in place. This includes following the LOTO procedure, ensuring all interlocks and guards on machinery are used and maintained in good working order They ensure that any faulty or broken machinery or equipment is reported in a timely manner via the correct procedure They attend a monthly meeting in the Laboratory with the Senior QC Technician in order that he is aware of actions and up to date with the business. Subjects include complaints, RFT - KPIs In the role they provide support and assistance to all departments - they communicate with all They accept and attend all proposed training sessions They follow all policies and procedures in place on site They provide back up for the QC Technician to cover raising work orders, checking raw material stocks, obtaining samples from other sites when needed. They ensure that all updated SDS are posted onto the Seirich database including all non-raw materials and any substances used in the Laboratory. They are able to use the Share Point system to obtain documentation, reports, QSE manuals, policies and procedures They propose any opportunities for improvement within the department They provide support and assistance to all departments Technical Skills & Training Knowledge and working practice in the plastics and master batch industry Previous quality inspection experience is essential Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with supervision Organizational, multitasking and ability to prioritize IT and Communication skills Self-organization and attention to details Innovative - can think out of the box Solutions and results orientated Team Player Ethical Knowledge of how to control hazardous products and the impacts Ability to communicate health & safety risks to the site people This role is temporary - permanent for the right candidate.
