Our defence client is seeking a Principal Test Solutions Engineer to lead the design, development and certification of an ATP test solution for the SPU, supporting the Payload (BriteCloud) project in Luton.
You will lead technical reviews, develop automated test software in LabVIEW/TestStand, manage configuration, and ensure all test solutions are fully documented, validated and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities- Lead TRR/FQR and design reviews for Payload test solutions
- Develop, debug and commission TPS software (NI LabVIEW/TestStand)
- Prepare and maintain full test documentation (TRD, TERs, ATP/ATR, VDD, manuals, etc.)
- Configure and update TCU software/hardware and ensure formal TPS configuration
- Conduct ATP investigations and accurately record results
- Strong NI LabVIEW and TestStand experience
- Windows and MS Office proficiency
- Experience with configuration management tools (Teamcenter or equivalent)
- Background in automated test systems / TPS development
- Eligible for, or holding, full UK SC clearance
- Ideal for a senior/lead test engineer used to owning complex automated test solutions in a defence or aerospace environment
