Are you an experienced Facilities Maintenance Engineer or qualified Electrician looking for a dynamic, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated facilities team supporting a diverse events programme and ensuring the smooth running of a busy campus.
The Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in installing and maintaining temporary power systems in line with BS7671 and BS7909 standards. You will also support a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring the campus remains safe, efficient, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of temporary power systems for events
- Electrical maintenance and installation work
- Inspection, testing, and certification
- Emergency lighting testing and repair
- Working with lighting controls and BMS systems
- Servicing and fault finding on HVAC systems
- Supporting energy management initiatives
- Overseeing external service partners and ensuring compliance
- Completing risk assessments, work permits, and maintenance procedures
- Ensuring adherence to all Health & Safety regulations
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- A qualified Electrician or Electrically skilled Engineer
- Experienced in electrical maintenance within a commercial or industrial setting
- Confident working in a busy, customer-focused facilities environment
- Knowledgeable in health & safety procedures and compliance
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
