Are you an experienced manufacturing professional with strong FLT skills looking for a varied and hands-on role? We're looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join a busy 24/7 processing plant. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with different types of machinery, can follow safety procedures, and is comfortable working a rotating shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities for Multi Skilled Operative:- Work safely at all times, following company procedures related to plant, equipment, processes, chemicals and occupational safety
- Correctly use all required PPE, safety equipment and workwear as a Multi Skilled Operative
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, applying 5S principles and supporting audits and action plans
- Operate a range of production plant and equipment including hot fusion, casting, crushing, grinding, drying, finishing, sizing and bagging machinery
- Operate a variety of mechanical handling equipment (subject to training/qualification) such as overhead cranes, backhoe diggers, skid steer loading shovels, counterbalance forklifts and pallet trucks
- Palletise filled tubs, sacks and boxes, and move pallets, packaging materials and finished product using FLT or pallet truck
