Join a global leader in life sciences as a Logistics Coordinator, you will work with customers, corporate partners overseas, carriers and customs brokers to ensure shipments are processed compliantly, accurately and effectively.
Logistics Coordinator Shifts: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
Logistics Coordinator Rate of Pay: £15.86 per hour
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers via telephone, teams and email, particularly for compliance related queries and issue resolution.
- Provide status updates to customers directly via the Transport Management System.
- Work with customers and partners overseas to ensure due diligence is completed and all regulatory procedures are followed.
- Check all shipments before dispatch and confirm paperwork accuracy.
- Handle Dangerous Goods per IATA rules and local procedures.
- Select cost-effective air/road routes meeting time and temperature needs.
- Coordinate customs clearance and submit/receive documents on time.
- Prepare shipment documents (MAWB, HAWB, manifests, labels, pre-alerts, export declarations).
- Upload and maintain shipment documents in the TMS and produce/submit reports on time using shipment and account data.
- Follow all procedures, client protocols and quality standards.
Logistics Coordinator Requirements:
- Around 2+ years' office-based international logistics/customs experience (airfreight ideal) (required).
- Airfreight routing, airline and Dangerous Goods/IATA knowledge (desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication; confident with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to multi-task and work accurately under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and transport/shipment systems; able to work independently and with global teams.
