HGV Class 2 Drivers. Established in 1981 Richard Austin Alloys Ltd have become one of the UK\’s largest independent metal stockholders. Specialising in the next day delivery of Aluminium and Stainless Steel, our businesses are all built on the highest levels of customer service. Supplying to key engineering companies, our drivers are the face of business. We now have new opportunities for additional Class 2 drivers to join our ever-growing West Midlands operation. Permanent/Full time position: Basic weekly hours 40.5 per week, starting at 06:00, with overtime paid at time and half thereafter. No weekends, nights or bank holidays. 25 days holiday entitlement plus all bank holidays paid. £27,500 basic per annum (OTE £31,000 to £33,000) including overtime and profit share. The Role: * You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our metal to various customer locations. * Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail. * Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others. * Complete daily vehicle checks with regards to safety and keep the truck in acceptable condition. * A flexible approach to finish times as dictated by the needs of the business. * Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements. * Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager. The Person: * The applicant must have had at least 2 years\’ experience driving a Class 2. * Up to date driver CPC * Be customer focused with the ability to maintain positive internal and external customer relationships. * Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised. * Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service. * Must have good communication skills and a flexible \’can do\’ attitude to work. * Previous experience is desirable but, not essential as job specific training will be provided.
