Overview
HGV Class 2 Driver. Location: Northolt, UB5. Hourly rate: £18.50 ph. Days/Starts: Monday to Friday 06:00 – 08:00am starts. Permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-drop deliveries (around 10 drops per day, depending on distance).
- Drive a range of vehicles including 7.5T, 12T, 18T or occasionally vans (all paid at HGV Class 2 rate).
- Ensure safe and compliant driving, with accurate completion of paperwork and delivery notes.
- Use sat navs, smartphones, and other technology to support delivery routes.
Qualifications
- Up-to-date CPC and tachograph card.
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years, ideally with no more than 3 penalty points).
- Physically fit and able to lift doors weighing up to 50 kg.
- Minimum age 21 (for insurance purposes).
- Good communication and paperwork skills (delivery notes, defect reporting).
- Good English language skills for safety and customer interaction.
- Confident using sat navs, smartphones, and various vehicle types.
