HGV Class 1 Driver β with Hiab or happy to be trained on Hiab. Salary: Β£36,129.60 Location: Glasgow. Salary: Β£36,128.60 standard 45 hr week. β Β£40,143.99 average 50 hr pw. Days: Monday to Friday 07.30 β 17.00 hrs. This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy. The Vacancy: As an LGV Class 1 Driver you are responsible for the delivery and collection of our products. What\βs in it for you! * 25 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays (Increasing with length of service) * Workplace Pension Scheme * Life Assurance Scheme About You! * C+E Driving Licence is essential. * You will be a competent driver with at least 2 years commercial driving experience. * A good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas. * Your customer focused experience and expertise will underpin your ability to deliver this role fully. * Good physical health is required as this can be a physically demanding role at times. * Flexible in your approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice. About the Role! * Delivering/collecting the company\βs units and equipment to its customers, at the right location, at the time required, having planned such delivery to achieve optimum fuel consumption and most efficient use of driver time. * Inspecting all units and equipment on collection to ensure it is in good order, recording all visible damage, excessive dirtiness, missing items etc. * Ensuring all necessary company paperwork is completed in the correct manner to avoid disputes at a later date i.e. signatures obtained for time of delivery / collection, damage sustained or missing plant. * Driving company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner, including operating within the necessary transport regulations with regard to driving hours, operating tacograph according to Ministry of Transport requirements * Operating all lifting equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and method statements. Loading and unloading plant and equipment in accordance with safe practice, the Company\βs Safety Directives and Method Statements. Ensuring axle weights are not exceeded. * Carrying out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting / holding equipment (including straps and chains), recording any defects and reporting them to the Foreman / Depot Manager / Fleet Manager.
