GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor to our Public Sector client based in Lyndhurst. The Health and Safety Officer will ensure that the delivery of services within the organisation complies with statutory and legislative requirements in respect of health and safety.

Main Duties of the Health and Safety Advisor:

Review and monitor health and safety systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation

Provide advice and guidance on health and safety related issues

Review health and safety training sessions and monitor attendance

Undertake health and safety audits

Record all accidents and incidents and conduct thorough investigations

Role Requirements:

Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)

CertIOSH membership

Experience within services that are relevant to a local government setting

Experience completing health and safety audits
