Gi Group are looking for an experienced class 2 tipper driver for afternoon shifts for a well-known company in Nuneaton.
Location: Nuneaton
Rates of Pay: £17.93 including holiday pay (PAYE no umbrellas)
Shifts and Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Start Times: 12:00-14:00
- 8 hours guaranteed per shift
The Role: This role consists of multi-drop delivery work consisting of food waste collection. The driver is responsible for loading, transporting, and tipping food waste materials using a rigid vehicle, typically a specialised food waste tipper. The duties include collecting waste from commercial premises, ensuring safe loading and operation of the vehicle, complying with driving regulations, and disposing of the collected waste at designated sites. This is a temporary position, and training will be provided on the job. The driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.
Requirements:
- In date, UK, class 2 licence, with 1 year's experience minimum
- In date CPC and digi card
- No more than 6 points on licence, speeding only no other endorsements accepted
- Must be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes
- Must be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
- Must be available to work 45-55 hours per week
- Must have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential
- Must be happy and able to work with animal by-products
