Our client based in Bordon, who are the UK's market leader in electropolishing and chemical surface treatment, are looking for a General Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where you will have overall responsibility of the site reporting directly to the managing director.

The Ideal candidate will have management experience from a manufacturing, surface treatment industry or a similar sector. The main objectives of this position are to oversee day-to-day site management and business strategies to ensure company revenue targets are achieved.

Salary & Benefits

  • Monday- Friday - 40 hours per week 08:00-17:00
  • £50-55k per annum
  • Annual Bonus scheme (Discretionary)
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank holidays
  • Healthcare and wellness plans
  • Enhanced pension up to 6%

Duties

  • Overseeing day to day business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Client Interaction / Client liaison around pricing/quoting for existing and new
  • Identifying and pursuing new market opportunities and partnerships
  • Project management internally and externally
  • Monitoring financial performance and key metrics, ensuring profitability and cost control
  • Building, managing and motivating a small team fostering a positive collaborative workplace culture
  • Developing long-term plans aligned with business goals
  • Occasional travel to Birmingham for Internal Business meetings

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a small to medium sized business
  • Experience in driving commercial success and managing business functions
  • Project management experience (Full cycle)
  • Creating and managing operational processes
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to make decisions
