We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Operator to join our production team in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. This is a key role within our business, responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining high-volume machinery used in the manufacture of precision steel springs.
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Salary: £12.91 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate high-volume production machinery for steel spring manufacturing
- Carry out quality checks on production batches to ensure compliance with drawing specifications
- Perform load testing and inspection of finished products
- Maintain consistent production standards and output levels
- Work to technical drawings and engineering instructions
- Ensure machines are properly maintained and report any faults promptly
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, efficient working environment
- Assembly of products
Requirements:
- Time-served engineer or completion of a full engineering apprenticeship
- CNC machining experience (experience in setting and operating required)
- Willingness to learn CNC programming and develop further technical skills
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality control processes
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
