Join our clients modern, automated bakery in Iver as a Forklift Driver within our Supply Chain team. You will play a critical role in managing goods and equipment, supporting efficient operations, and ensuring quality products reach our clients. The position is hands-on, requires high attention to detail, and operates in a fast-paced environment with both automated and manual processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely stack and un-stack goods onto pallets/shelves.
- Move products between storage and loading areas for transportation.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklift and by hand.
- Sort, check, and store a wide range of bakery products.
- Inspect forklift equipment for faults or damages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and working areas.
- Operate forklifts in controlled temperature environments.
- Consolidate pallets as necessary to maximise efficiency.
- Keep accurate digital records of stock using warehouse management systems.
- Follow health and safety, hygiene, and forklift operational procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar warehouse or supply chain role.
- Valid Counterbalance and Bendi (Pivot Steer) forklift licenses (required).
- Basic computer knowledge for stock management.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent coordination.
- Able to carry out physical lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Commitment to follow company hygiene and safety rules.
- Protective clothing and PPE must be worn onsite.
What to Expect:
- 6 days/week, 48 hours/week with weekly shift rotations (Afternoon/Night).
- Working in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned bakery environment.
- Onsite, full training provided.
- Physical work is required alongside automated processes.
- Exposure to various bakery products in a hot and sometimes dusty environment.
- Work location is in person (Iver, Buckinghamshire).
