Our client is a large retailer in the pet food industry and is actively recruiting for an experienced FLT counterbalance driver. As a Production Forklift Operator, you will be trained to support the Team while the production line is running. The role can be repetitive and includes stacking boxes onto pallets, supporting packing activities on the line, and operating a forklift to transport raw materials, packaging, and finished goods across the site. You will also wrap pallets, use the stock control system, and maintain a clean and safe working environment, particularly during product changeovers and line downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Take full accountability for quality, output, and housekeeping within your working area during your shift.
- Work safely and effectively at all times to help minimise incidents and near misses.
- Record and correctly cover any unused product to reduce the risk of contamination.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow a clean as you go approach.
- Report equipment issues, damage, or faults immediately to the Team Captain.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
- Use safe manual handling techniques when working on and around production lines.
- Collect required packaging materials (e.g., boxes, film, labels) and deliver them to the relevant production line.
