6am-2pm /2pm-10pm rotational. Must be able to work both shifts.
FLT (Forklift Truck) Driver job typically involves safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload goods in a warehouse or industrial setting. The driver is responsible for tasks like inventory management, order picking, and ensuring the warehouse area is safe and tidy.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe and Efficient Forklift Operation: Moving, loading, and unloading goods using various forklift types, ensuring the safety of self and others.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts, stock takes, and maintaining accurate records.
Order Picking: Collecting goods from designated areas and preparing them for dispatch.
Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading goods from trucks and other vehicles.
Warehouse Organisation: Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Checking forklift equipment for faults and reporting any issues.
Adherence to Regulations: Following health and safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.
Communication and Teamwork: Communicating with team members and following instructions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Forklift Truck License (mandatory) RTITB/ ITSSAR/ABA
Experience operating various types of forklifts (counterbalance, reach, etc.).
Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Ability to work efficiently and safely in a busy environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to handle manual tasks and lifting.
Other potential duties may include:
Using packing machines and labelling devices, Consolidating partial pallets, Reporting on stock levels and discrepancies, and Assisting with basic forklift maintenance.
