An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a specialist Project Management team working with cutting-edge technologies in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment, enjoys working with multiple stakeholders, and takes pride in delivering high-quality project outcomes.

About the Role

You will coordinate test and certification projects for components used in transport-related applications. These projects span a wide range of laboratory-based testing disciplines, including environmental testing, mechanical shock and vibration, packaging, EMC (defence and civil), battery testing, radio frequency, product safety and SAR testing. Acting as the key link between clients and internal technical teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and that final test reports are issued promptly to support clients' qualification programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client liaison - Serve as the primary point of contact from project initiation to completion.
  • Project delivery - Ensure all projects meet contractual timelines, scope and budget, maintaining profitability.
  • Planning & tracking - Produce detailed project plans and maintain accurate forecasts using internal project management tools.
  • Workflow coordination - Work closely with test supervisors to ensure smooth scheduling, sample delivery and documentation flow.
  • Commercial management - Support timely and accurate invoicing and resolve issues affecting financial performance.
  • Resource coordination - Arrange subcontract testing, specialist equipment hire and third-party involvement as required.
  • Client visits - Attend client meetings when needed.
  • Administrative support - Complete all administrative tasks associated with project delivery.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience as a Project Coordinator within Defence or Aerospace.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and drive improvements.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of client needs.
  • Balanced technical judgement and commercial awareness.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and business management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and telephone).
  • A positive, collaborative team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented and adaptable to change.
