Our client based in Hampshire has a brand-new fantastic opportunity to join their growing Environmental Testing Team. In this role you will work hands-on with cutting-edge test equipment, collaborate directly with customers from a wide range of industries, and turn complex test data into clear, meaningful reports. If you enjoy precision, problem-solving and making things better, faster and smarter, this is for you.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out mechanical and environmental testing to agreed standards, regulations and test plans
- Working closely with customers during attended testing
- Recording results using electronic logbooks and producing high-quality test reports
- Supporting customers with test specifications, execution and result interpretation
- Collaborating with test supervisors to deliver work accurately and on time
- Helping develop and refine test plans, methods and documentation
- Driving continuous improvement, efficiency and smarter ways of working
What we're looking for
Essential
- Experience working in a test laboratory environment
Highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with mechanical testing, including vibration shaker equipment
- Experience delivering climatic testing services
- Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and operating procedures
You'll also bring
- A motivated, practical and curious mindset
- Flexibility to work overtime, shifts or on customer sites when needed
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Confidence using IT tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook
