Are you a technically minded professional with strong experience in sheet-metal manufacturing and RFQ completion? I'm supporting a leading Coventry-based engineering business that is looking to appoint an Estimator & NPI Support Engineer. This role sits at the centre of Commercial, NPI, and Operations, offering excellent long-term development and real influence across the business.
The Role
As the Estimator & NPI Support Engineer, you will take ownership of customer RFQs, support the Sales Handover process, and ensure seamless communication between Commercial, NPI, and Manufacturing teams. You will also manage bespoke customer projects and maintain essential documentation including PPAPs, tool logs, and TADs. This is a hybrid role combining technical understanding with commercial awareness, ideal for someone who enjoys working across engineering, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- RFQ Management; Complete accurate quotations within agreed timeframes
- Sales Handover Support; Ensure documentation is correct and processes are followed
- Commercial Support; Assist with wider sales and commercial activities
- NPI Process Support; Maintain NPI data within the MRP system and ensure manufacturing readiness
- Project Ownership; Manage bespoke customer projects from enquiry to completion
- Tooling & Documentation; Complete tool logs, TADs, and associated customer documentation
- PPAP Support; Provide full PPAP support including run-at-rate and capacity documentation
- Act as a key liaison between Commercial, NPI, and Manufacturing teams
