Role: Team Leader - Installation & Inspection (Height Safety Equipment)

Location: UK (field-based / travel required)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + overtime + bonuses (high earning potential)

GI Pro is recruiting on behalf of a leading provider in the safety sector. This is a hands-on, mobile Team Leader position overseeing site-based installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of height safety / fall protection equipment. You'll lead by example on-site, ensuring work is delivered safely, to standard, and with excellent customer service.

The role

  • Leading and coordinating site works, ensuring correct resourcing, safe systems of work and high-quality delivery.
  • Carrying out site-based installations and testing/maintenance of height safety equipment in line with manufacturer requirements and drawings.
  • Owning day-to-day site safety, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and behaviour across the team.
  • Acting as the main point of contact on-site for customers, maintaining excellent service and professionalism.
  • Reviewing and ensuring completion of clear, accurate and detailed paperwork following installations and inspections.
  • Ensuring inspection findings are recorded correctly to support certification and/or remedial quotations.
  • Spotting additional requirements for fall protection equipment or training and escalating opportunities.
  • Supporting senior management with operational updates, planning, and continuous improvement activities.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Previous experience installing/inspecting/maintaining height safety or fall protection systems
  • Proven ability to lead work on-site (team leadership, mentoring, task allocation)
  • Clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass DBS/CRB/Scottish Disclosure
  • MUST be comfortable working at height

Preferred:

  • Strong experience in a mobile, site-based role
  • Confident completing and checking site documentation and reports

  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • Blue CSCS card
  • Working at Heights Training
  • Equipment Inspection Training
