Location: Nottingham

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 15:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 13:00 pm

Salary: Up to £31,500

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical & Electrical Fitters to join a growing engineering and assembly team. You will work independently within your own assembly area while also collaborating with a skilled team on larger, more complex builds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and contributing to a high‑performance production environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Mechanical Fitting Responsibilities:
    • Assemble mechanical products from drawings, schematics, and build packs
    • Pick correct kits and verify all documentation is the correct issue
    • Inspect all components for quality before fitting
    • Build products within standard times while maintaining exceptional quality
    • Raise MRNs and report issues with BOMs, drawings, or assembly formats
    • Support continuous improvement and assist other departments when required
  • Electrical Fitting Responsibilities:
    • Mount electrical components to frames, panels, and assemblies
    • Wire low‑voltage instrumentation, 110/230V mains, and 3‑phase systems to global standards
    • Work neatly and accurately to electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
    • Check kits, drawings, and build packs for correct issue
    • Perform self‑inspection on all completed work
    • Book hours and report issues using SAP
    • Support larger electrical builds and collaborate with the wider assembly team
