GI Pro are working in partnership with a leading provider of high-quality precision engineering services to the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Nuclear, and Power Generation industries. Our client specialises in CNC machining, assembly, and inspection of complex components.
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Bench Fitter to join their dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Bench fitting and manual assembly of precision-engineered components
- Deburring, polishing, and final finishing of parts
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Working with hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Ensuring quality checks are performed throughout the process
- Collaborating with engineers and machinists to meet production goals
- Adhering to health and safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a similar Bench Fitting or Mechanical Assembly role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Skilled in using hand tools, files, deburring tools, and measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers, gauges)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
