Join Gi Group and work with one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery companies based in Baginton, Coventry. This position is a temporary contract, offering ongoing work 12 months per year for the right candidate. Please note there may be alcohol deliveries involved in this role.

Rates of Pay

  • Days: £19.61 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only)
  • Nights: £19.89 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only)

Shifts and Hours

  • Shifts available 7 days a week
  • 00:01-04:00 starts available
  • 11:00-23:00 starts available
  • 8-10 hours per day

The Role

  • Load / unload freight and secure load
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and collections (varied parcel weights)
  • Ensure accurate completion of documentation
  • Perform vehicle checks and report defect
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 license + 6 months Class 1 driving experience
  • Maximum 6 SP penalty points accepted (no other endorsements)
  • Over 21 years of age for insurance purposes
  • Flexible and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, and attention to detail
  • 2 years of work / education history

Location

Coventry (CV8). This role is commutable from Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Banbury, Southam, Kenilworth, Southeast Birmingham, Daventry, Crick and the other surrounding areas.
