HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver (Ongoing) - Immediate Start Location: Cornwall (PL26) Pay Rate: 21.38 per hour (PAYE)* Overtime Rate: 27.26 per hour after 40 hours Shift Time: 03:00am start Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday *Please note: PAYE rates include advanced holiday pay. Gi Group are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to work on-site with one of our well-known parcel delivery clients based in Cornwall (PL26) Duties for Class 1 Shunter will include: Shunting trailers between the main site and off-site parking locations Completing a small number of customer collections as required Conducting vehicle pre-checks and reporting any defects/maintenance issues Ensuring safe, timely movement of trailers in line with site rules and schedules Complying with transport regulations and company policies Driver Requirements To be considered, you must have: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Previous shunting experience (essential) Driving experience in a similar role (preferred) Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamTo apply, please call our office on (phone number removed) Should you require any support or assistance, please contact your local Gi Group office.
