GI Group are currently recruiting a Drivers Mate for our client in Launceston (PL15). This company is a leading UK-wide drinks wholesaler supplying pubs, bars, restaurants and other on-trade venues with a full range of alcoholic and soft drinks. We are looking for a Drivers Mate to work Monday to Friday. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity. The pay rate for this role is £12.71/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery Assistance: Help drivers transport beverage orders to various hospitality venues.
- Logistics: Assist with map navigation, loading/unloading heavy items, and managing digital or physical paperwork.
- Customer Interaction: Review orders with customers to ensure accuracy and resolve issues like missing stock.
- Vehicle Safety: Assist with vehicle manoeuvres and maintain safety protocols during transit and unloading.
Requirements
- Physical Fitness: Capability to handle heavy lifting (kegs, crates) consistently.
- Age Requirement: Due to handling alcohol, you must meet the minimum legal age to enter licensed premises.
- Skills: Strong teamwork, basic literacy/numeracy, and proficiency with handheld technology for order management.
