Our Client is a leading provider of energy solutions specialising in reducing energy costs and delivering customised energy-efficient projects across Ireland. Renowned in the energy efficiency industry for delivering turnkey, energy-saving projects for residential, commercial, community, and public sector clients nationwide. Due to continued growth we are seeking a BER Assessor to join my clients existing team in Cork. Working with the Project Management you will carry out surveys, energy audits, and technical assessments of domestic properties to ensure compliance with building and SEAI regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients to discuss project plan and construction requirements.
- Inspecting existing buildings for flaws and defects.
- Carrying out feasibility studies.
- Gathering and reviewing data ahead of energy audits.
- Conducting energy engineering calculations on dwellings.
- Perform quality assessments on energy efficient works.
- Drafting scheme designs, timelines, and specifications for works.
- Advising on health and safety aspects of construction.
- Advising on boundary and wall placement.
- Advising on environmental impact, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Advising on contractors and organizing documents.
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors on site.
- Pass a complete file on each contract to the relevant Project Manager's to complete works.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BER Assessor or in a similar technical surveying role.
- Recognised BER Assessor qualification or currently undertaking BER Assessor training.
- Strong knowledge of current building regulations and SEAI guidelines.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and provide accurate technical data.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills for working with homeowners, contractors, and colleagues.
- Competence in preparing reports, technical drawings, and feasibility studies.
- Good IT skills, including MS Office and surveying/reporting software.
- Full Drivers Licence.
