The opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on, tech-focused CNC Manager. You will be responsible for safety, quality, delivery and performance whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement and developing a high performing team. This is a leadership role for someone with a strong CNC manufacturing background, proven people management capability, and a data-driven mindset (including using AI to analyse operational data and trends).
What you will be doing
- Leadership: run regular 1:1s and team meetings.
- Manage performance, conduct, attendance and absence in line with company policy.
- Recruit, onboard and develop CNC and paintline teams, ensuring competence and compliance from day one.
- Lead problem solving and root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
- Build engagement through communication, recognition and a strong safety culture.
Operational management
- Own daily CNC cutting and paintline schedules to meet Assembly requirements on time and to specification.
- Optimise CNC programs, tooling and paintline parameters to improve output, quality and waste reduction.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and embed 5S / visual management.
