Gi Group are recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for a well-known delivery company, based in Crewe. There are 2 shift patterns for night shifts available:
- Nights 1 - Sunday to Wednesday = 4 Nights (Start time either 21:00 or 23:00)
- Nights 2 - Tuesday to Friday = 4 Nights (Start time either 21:00 or 23:00)
Newly passed drivers are accepted.
HGV Driver responsibilities:
- Conducting Vehicle checks
- Multi Drop/ bulk, collections and deliveries
- Securing loads
- Multi Drop delivery of palletised goods - depot to depot, 4 - 5 drops, loading and unloading vehicle using tail lift & either a manual or electric pump truck
- Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met
HGV Driver required skills:
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual.
- Good attitude to work and learn new skills.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes).
- Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements.
- Have good customer service skills.
- Good understanding of Drivers hours, regulations, and working time directive.
Pay Rates:
- Class 1: Night Shift - £19.27
- Class 2: Night Shift - £18.96
*Please note that pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay.
