Group Business Development Manager Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Reporting into the Business Development Director you will identify new prospects and opportunities that match the key strategies within the group in order to develop new business and drive growth.
  • In our corporate sales function, you will identify key decision-makers & influential stakeholders in order to build positive and persuasive relationships identifying where the business can add the most value.
  • As someone with an in-depth understanding of all Gi Group brands and their key specialisms you will act as the main entry point for our internal teams to some of the Worlds biggest and most influential organisations.
  • You’ll need to build a key prospect and pipeline list, manage your time effectively and work autonomously.
  • You will focus on large spend accounts and volume opportunities in order to achieve both KPI and sales targets whilst also playing a key role in one of the company’s most successful teams.
  • You will prospect clients and attend client meetings both face to face and remotely in order to promote the Gi Group services.
  • You will be delivering customer presentations confidently and lead tenders from start to finish, liaising where necessary with SMT & EMT members.

Skills and attributes required for the Group Business Development Manager:

  • Proven sales record within a recruitment background focusing on volume opportunities.
  • Good understanding of winning new business and achieving revenue growth against target.
  • Experience in the end-to-end tender process would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, able to adapt your approach for different people and have a chat with anyone & remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong negotiations skills, with the ability to influence confidently across all levels.
  • Friendly and highly personable.
  • Flexible and resilient.
