GI Group is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie for our Public Sector client. The Chef de Partie will support the catering team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals. The role focuses on food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu requirements and dietary standards.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards following statutory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate portion control and minimisation of food waste.
- Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen admin when required.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant culinary qualification e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation or equivalent.
- Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum).
- Allergen Awareness training.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
