GI Group is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie for our Public Sector client. The Chef de Partie will support the catering team in delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals. The role focuses on food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu requirements and dietary standards.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards following statutory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate portion control and minimisation of food waste.
- Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen admin when required.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant culinary qualification e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation or equivalent.
- Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum).
- Allergen Awareness training.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
