The Role

We're looking for a Maintenance operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Aldridge, Walsall. This is a hands-on, physical role where you'll be responsible for stripping down, cleaning, repairing and rebuilding kiln cars to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Kiln cars are large and heavy-duty, capable of holding up to 20,000 bricks at one time, so attention to detail, safe working practices and the ability to work efficiently are key.

  • Manual handling as part of the role, including lifting up to 25kg

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a hands-on repair / maintenance / mechanical environment (kiln car experience is beneficial but not essential)
  • Confident using basic hand tools and working to practical instructions
  • Able to work at pace while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Comfortable with physical work and manual handling (up to 25kg)
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

What's On Offer

  • Β£13.50 per hour (negotiable, depending on experience)

  • Stable, ongoing work for the right candidate
