GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our internationally known client in Abergele (LL18). The client provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road‑based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding and logistics.

Driver Shifts

  • Afternoon/evening start times on an ad‑hoc basis
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend work available
  • Average 12‑hour shift

Pay & Benefits

  • Monday to Friday: £20.34 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
  • Saturday: £26.35 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
  • Sunday: £29.41 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)

Driver Duties

  • Conduct vehicle checks
  • Trunking work to depots
  • Deliver safely to customers throughout the UK
  • Prioritise workload to meet time commitments

Driver Requirements

  • A presentable appearance, eye for detail and a positive attitude
  • No more than 6 penalty points; no DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
  • Hold a valid, up‑to‑date tachograph and CPC certificate
  • Good customer service skills
  • At least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
