Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets as a Class 1 Night Driver. This isn’t just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in Bedford. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Chilled & frozen loads, mostly stored in cages but some cases may be pallets
  • 1-3 store deliveries, this can be to supermarkets or petrol station stores
  • Drivers must be flexible to operate Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles (always paid at Class 1 rate)
  • Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records
  • Drivers must maintain professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
  • Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
  • Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts:

  • Daily and Weekly Bookings Available start time windows: 18:00 - 22:00, 23:00 - 03:00
  • Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must
  • Weekend only work available
  • Full time and part time opportunities

Benefits & Pay Rates:

  • Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks
