Freight Administrators

My client a large international organisation are looking to increase their logistics staff, they are looking for experienced Freight Administrators to join their logistics team

  • Ayr location
  • Full time hours (40hrs)
  • Temporary to permanent
  • Good Office Experience
  • Must have Driving Licence, may (may be required to drive company vehicles)
  • Freight Administration advantage

Preparing Documents: Create bills of lading (a receipt for shipped items), manifests (list of cargo on a vehicle), and invoices.

  • Tracking Shipments: Use software to trace orders. Provide regular updates to customers.
  • Managing Bookings: Schedule pick-ups and drop-offs with shipping lines and transport companies.
  • Customs Compliance: Prepare and check customs clearance paperwork to follow international shipping rules.
  • Communication: Answer phone calls and emails from clients and drivers to resolve delays
  • Organization: Must handle multiple shipments and paperwork at once.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using logistics software, CRMs, and spreadsheets.
  • Communication: Clear and calm talking to drivers and angry customers.
  • Attention to detail: A small mistake in a number can delay an entire truck
