A well-established precision engineering business is looking to hire an experienced CNC Miller to strengthen its machining team. This role suits a capable setter/operator who enjoys producing high-quality tight-tolerance components.
What you'll be doing:
- Set and operate CNC milling machines
- Deliver first-off components and specialist jobs
- Identify tooling needs to keep production running smoothly
- Manage workload effectively in line with production schedules
- Complete shop-floor documentation accurately (routing sheets, tickets and computer-based records)
- Carry out self-inspection to ensure parts meet specification
- Support continuous improvement work (including scrap reduction and quality improvements)
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in CNC machining / precision manufacturing
- Confident setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience machining high-precision components in a low-volume environment
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Comfortable completing self-inspection and maintaining high quality standards
