Warehouse / Packing Operative (Goods In & Dispatch) - Days
Church Stretton | £13.00 per hour | Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30 | 37.5 hours
18-month temporary contract | Full training provided
We're recruiting a Warehouse / Packing Operative to join a well-established Life Sciences manufacturing site in Church Stretton. This is a hands-on role in a clean, organised environment where accuracy matters and procedures are clearly followed.
What you'll be doing
- Picking and packing orders for dispatch
- Receiving deliveries (checking goods against paperwork and completing the goods-in process)
- Stock checks / inventory counts in storage locations
- Preparing, dispensing and final packaging of products for distribution
- Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
- Completing basic records for each task (paperwork / system entries)
- Working safely and following site EH&S and Quality procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement activities and site projects with the team
What we're looking for
Essential
- Comfortable in a physical, hands-on role (standing/walking through the day)
- Good attention to detail and able to follow work instructions
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team
- Confident communicating and recording information accurately
Desirable (not essential)
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse or laboratory experience
- SAP exposure
- ISO9001 / quality-controlled environment experience
- Forklift licence
