An established UK manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial dry-steam cleaning equipment is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support continued growth following a recent acquisition by a global parent company. This is a hands‑on role based from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with regular customer site work and occasional travel.

The Role
Working a 37‑hour week, you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing and supporting specialist industrial equipment both at the workshop and on customer sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Service and repair customer equipment at the Cheltenham premises
- Attend customer sites to carry out on‑site servicing and repairs
- Provide installation support and training for new equipment
- Produce quotations, issue service reports, and maintain accurate work logs
- Act as a technical support backup for other engineers and end users, working closely with the wider team
Additional requirements:
- Carry out other reasonable tasks aligned to the role
- Very occasional travel to mainland Europe may be required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical service role repairing/servicing electrical equipment or machinery (including 3‑phase)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering experience
- Detail‑oriented with a problem‑solving mindset
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to understand user needs
- Competent IT skills (ideally Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Passport
- Right to work in the UK
- Shared use of company van
- 25 days holiday, rising to 28 days with long service
Location
- Gloucestershire (Cheltenham HQ) with frequent field‑based work (UK‑wide, as required)
