HR Coordinator - Basingstoke (RG24)
Full-time 12-month contract 15.00- 17.00 per hour
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an HR Coordinator to join their team in Basingstoke (RG24). This is a hands-on HR operations role where you'll be the first point of contact for employee and manager queries and support the business across the full employee life cycle. You'll be joining a newly independent organisation (Oxoid Remel Microbiology, acquired from Thermo Fisher Scientific), so a proactive, customer-first approach is key.
What you'll be doing
- Managing day-to-day HR queries and providing guidance on policies and processes
- Coordinating HR admin across the life-cycle: new starters/on-boarding, changes (transfers/promotions), absence, and leavers
- Preparing HR documentation, letters and maintaining accurate personnel files
- Keeping employee records up to date in HR systems, supporting reporting and data audits
- Working with Payroll to ensure changes are processed accurately and on time
- Supporting benefits queries and assisting with annual benefits/comp processes when needed
- Handling sensitive information with discretion and supporting compliance/audit requirements
- Contributing ideas to streamline admin and improve the employee experience
What we're looking for
Essential
- Experience in HR administration/HR operations/shared services (or similar)
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a customer service mindset
- Good MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Comfortable managing confidential information
- Fluent in English
Desirable
- A second European language (German/French/Spanish/Italian/Dutch etc.)
- Multi-country employee support experience
- HRIS exposure (DarwinBox, Workday, Success-Factors or similar)
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience)
