Our client based in Chesterfield is recruiting for a Plater Welder or strong structural steel Fabricator Welder to join their team on a permanent basis. This company manufactures components and products for the structural steel industry and is mainly bespoke work offering a big variety in what they can offer. The work is all mild steel from 3mm – 40mm gauges. They can offer lots of overtime at the moment if that\’s something you are looking for.

Job Description – Plater / Fabricator Welder

• Company manufacture products for the structural steel industry
• This role will be all workshop based
• Welding and fabricating heavy gauge steel work
• Taking the jobs from start to finish
• Working predominantly with mild steel
• 3mm – 40mm gauges

Essential skills – Plater / Fabricator Welder

• Ideally be apprentice trained in fabrication or plating
• Must be able to fabricate from scratch and take the job from start to finish
• Able to use fabrication machinery including presses, pillar drills and guillotines
• Able to mark out own work
• Confident measuring, cutting and forming metal
• Competent working from complex engineering drawings

Package – Plater / Fabricator Welder

• Up to £31,200 per annum
• Day shifts Monday – Friday 6am – 2:30pm
• Ample overtime available all paid at premium
• On-site parking
