Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm - 39.5 hrs pw

GI Pro are recruiting for a MIG / TIG Welder Fabricator for our engineering client based in Northampton.

Offering a pay rate of £14ph - £14.50ph.

Working day shifts Monday to Friday with overtime paid at enhanced rates.

This is a permanent contract.

The client is a specialist supplier/manufacturer of bespoke lifting equipment and general fabrications.

The job involves:

  • MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel mostly from 3mil - 8mil
  • Producing lifting equipment, from standard steel stock sections and machined parts.
  • MIG 90% / TIG 10%
  • Fabricating using press drills, cutting and chop saws, hand, and air tools
  • Tack, weld, grind, and finish products
  • Quality inspection

The candidate should have:

  • Ability to MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel from engineering drawings (3 yrs min)
  • TIG welding experience is an advantage, but not essential
