Gi Group are recruiting General Operatives to join the Specials Department within a market‐leading manufacturer of clay building products. This hands‐on, physically active position offers long‐term stability and the opportunity to develop new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand‐crafting bespoke clay blocks to meet customer requirements
- Transferring wet clay onto stillages
- Building accurate brick firing stacks
- Sorting fired bricks into packs ready for dispatch
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and adhering to all health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent timekeeping and reliable attendance
- Self‐motivated with a proactive, positive attitude
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health & safety standards
- Own transport is essential due to the site location
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
- Experience in a continuous improvement or manufacturing environment
- Counterbalance FLT licence
- Any relevant training or upskilling qualifications
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
