We are seeking an Applications Engineer to join a UK manufacturer that designs and produces tailored electrical distribution and control assemblies for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and public sector applications.
You will be part of a business that delivers high quality engineered electrical products through complete in-house processes - from initial concept design through to manufacturing, testing, and client delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, collaborative setting and enjoys working closely with customers and internal engineering teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing a strong understanding of internal electrical engineering systems, processes, and applications.
- Supporting the engineering team by producing detailed technical designs and contract specific documentation for electrical assemblies.
- Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure electrical builds meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and safe working practices.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for customers, supporting clear communication throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Coordinating procurement and purchasing activities with internal departments, ensuring correct materials and components are ordered.
- Compiling accurate engineering and project data to support timely invoicing.
- Representing the company in client meetings, technical discussions, and occasional out of hours activities following Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Managing engineering orders to ensure projects remain within budget, on schedule, and delivered to the expected specification and quality levels.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in full compliance with the company’s Business Management System.

- Experience in electrical engineering, applications engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.
- Good organisational abilities with strong attention to detail.
