This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group as we seek to appoint Warehouse Operatives to collaborate with our Client based in Stafford, ST18. You should have your own transport due to the location, and you must be over 18. Our Warehouse Colleagues are at the heart of that mission. Their work is varied and dedicated to ensuring pet owners across the country have access to the very best advice, care, and products. Join us, and you'll see that we're not just any old distribution centre. You will start with Pets at Home's comprehensive 12‑week training programme to get you settled in, confident, and ready for every new opportunity.
Pay Rates & Shift Patterns
- Warehouse Step 2 (Packing in E‑Commerce) Basic Pay – £12.21 per hour. Overtime Pay after 37.5 Hours – £18.32 per hour, pay increase once fully trained. Shift Patterns – Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday (Rotation) – 06:00‑14:00 / 14:00‑22:00.
- Warehouse Step 2 + LLOP (LLOP MHE Picking in E‑Commerce) Basic Pay – £12.36 per hour. Overtime Pay after 37.5 Hours – £18.54 per hour. Shift Patterns – Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday (Rotation) – 06:00‑14:00 / 14:00‑22:00.
*You must be able to follow the weekly rotation shift pattern; we are not currently recruiting for part‑time roles.*
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, preparing, and wrapping items ready for dispatch.
- Inspecting & quality control of items.
- Accurate completion of paperwork.
- Pay good diligence.
- Working at high speeds and meeting company targets (KPIs).
- Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and always complies with company and legislative standards.
Warehouse Operative Required Skills
- Driven and motivated to achieve targets set.
- Punctual and excellent attendance records.
- Good attitude to work and learn new skills.
- Motivated and look for long‑term work (as our client is looking to keep staff who they can train for long‑term work).
